Destination Weddings are growing more popular by hour because brides and grooms can combine a perfect wedding with a perfect honeymoon! Not only that but they can save a lot of $$ by going to a fantastic local with their closest family and friends.
One hidden myth with a destination wedding is that you have to pay for everyone or that you have to spend your honeymoon with them because some family members or friends want to make a week out of it themselves – that’s not the case when you do a Sandals Destination Wedding!
We’ve created a scenario for you which includes the steps that you take to create your day!
Step 1 – Who do you want at your wedding?
Beaches Turks & Caicos
Dive into a one-of-a-kind, unbelievably exciting all inclusive family vacation at Beaches Turks & Caicos. A 45,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art waterpark; three magnificent villages, boasting the architecture and ambiance of Italy, France and the Caribbean; incredibly sumptuous hotel accommodations; a powder-white-sand, 12-mile beach lapped by clear turquoise waters; endless fun activities for everyone, from tots to tweens and teens, featuring Sesame Street® characters, the new Xbox 360® Game Garage and a sizzlin’ teen disco, Liquid at Beaches-all amidst some of the most gorgeous tropical scenery on the planet.
First Sandals starts you with the Beautiful Beginnings Package which is FREE and includes the following:
On site wedding consultant
Picturesque wedding location
Preparation of documentation
Certified copy of marriage license
One 5″x7″ wedding photograph
“Just Married” T-shirts
Caribbean Wedding Cake
Reception for bride, groom & 2 guests
Honeymoon dinner for bride & groom
Continental breakfast in bed
Bouquet and boutonniere
Government / Administrative fees*
This could be for you, your fiance and your two children. If you have other family members that will be attending you can add onto the package or change the package totally to accommodate your wedding guests. If you add on say 10 people the extra cost would be $900 @ $90 each guest. You can also add on other services – for instance:
Bride’s personal dressing assistant $75
Private car transfers to/from airport (each way) 120
Professional video of ceremony$350
Additional copy of wedding video $100
Intimate Rehearsal dinner (per guest) $75
“Sunset Hour” Moet & Chandon (in room) $200
Now these prices change per island and per time of year, but if you book early and lock in the prices you can have the wedding (and honeymoon) of your dreams at a less cost if you did it at home – and with less the work and stress of it all.
Not only that but your children become a whole part of the ceremony. After everything is over you can always leave the kids at the resort with mom and head to Antiga to enjoy a honeymoon alone!
Step 2 – Choose Your Resort and Wedding Date
Once you’ve decided to tie the knot, the rest is pretty easy! With 4 Beaches Resorts and 12 Sandals Resorts to choose from, you’re sure to find one that’s just perfect for you.
Just e-mail us your contact information – name, address and phone number. We will give you a call. We’ll help you to determine which resort fits your needs, your guests, your wedding date and your budget. You’ll be required to put down a $400 deposit to hold your date and the balance is due 45 days before you travel.
Planning the Wedding
Once your deposit is down and the wedding date chosen we will contact you and help you to choose save the dates, wedding invitations, and plan out your on island wedding day!
We will go ahead and sign you up for a honeymoon registry with sandals so your guests can call in and either put a gift toward paying off your wedding/honeymoon or purchase tours or dinners on the beach for you and your new hubby.
Each Island requires that you ‘reside’ on the island before you can get married. To view the specific residency requirements, select the country where you’ll be getting married from this pull down-list.
The documents process can be a confusing and complicated one, but with our team of document specialists, the process is made simple and as stress-free as possible. Remember that each island is unique and requirements vary drastically from island to island-sometimes changing with little notice! Your wedding coordinator and your document specialist can answer any questions you have about the documents required for each island. The experience of having your wedding on a gorgeous, tropical island is well worth the effort.
Step 3 – Your Guests
One great thing about a destination wedding with Sandals is the service! As they say its “Luxury…Included! We can do lots of things for your guests, have a separate check in lounge available, check in gift bags or in room chocolates, they have use of all the amenities that you do. You can host a “rehearsal dinner” or an off site tour even. The sky is the limit!
In addition if any of your guests don’t stay at the Sandals or Beaches resort, they can purchase a guest pass so they can come on site, partake in your ceremony and/or reception and all the benefits of the Sandals/Beaches resort for a period of time, this is so that no one is left out!
Depending on the island if your guests stay and make a vacation out of it you can always switch to another resort so you and your new hubby can get a little alone time!
