The Knot Magazines wedding industry party

One of the great honors that I have this year is planning / coordinating The Knot magazines wedding professional industry party.  Today we did the final walk through of the venue to determine table placement, food placement and much more.

The event will be attended and of course critiqued by our peers so we are putting a lot of extra effort into the event’s decor and of course guest entertainment and the flow of the event.  We want the wedding professionals to have a great time and go home and say – hey! We need to work with her! 🙂

I am going to give you a sneak peak at some of the surprises that we are having and a heads up on the vendors that we chose for the event!  First up is of course the venue – hands down our first choice was Revolution Mill Studios.  There is no other venue like this in all of Greensboro, the space is beautiful and for brides – not a whole lot of decor is needed to make a fantastic event.  Check out our photos from Jennifer and Kelly’s weddings’ on our blog for more photos of the event space.

Next up we had to fill the space so we contacted American Furniture Rental who is donating all of the lounge furniture for the event and we will be supplying all of the linens for the event.  Then we called Cary Sound Inc to do all of the custom lighting for the event some gobo’s and some patterned lighting to make it a little more exciting.  Last but not least in the decor of things we called in one of my favorite ABC members – Occasions by Emily out of Asheville to do all the floral for the space.

For entertainment we went with sure shots – a photo booth from Shutterbooth and Zamba a fantastic caricaturist! Then of course there is the food – comfort foods, mini’s of everything and The Painted Plate will be providing a coffee bar with different flavors of coffee and hot chocolate.

The event will take place on Feb 24th! OK, I know, not much of a heads up but we’ll be sure to come back and post photos as soon as we get them.  Which reminds me! The photographer for the event is none other than Robert Christopher out of Charlotte!  You’ll get to see some photos here and I’m sure we’ll be featured in the magazine also!
