Can Brides Registering for Their Vendors Be a Trend of the Future?
ShutterBooth Helps Brides Afford Wedding of Their Dreams
with New Registry Option
With the economy continuing to sputter, many brides are hesitant or unable to plan the wedding of their dreams. ShutterBooth, a nationwide photo booth company that operates in Central and Eastern regions of North Carolina, has introduced a revolutionary on-line registry tool that allows brides to register for the unique photo booth experience.
ShutterRegistry, which is now available at www.ShutterBooth.com, allows brides to solicit gifts from their guests in order to add ShutterBooth to their wedding reception. The new service is now up-and-running for the holiday season, which traditionally is one of the busiest times of the year for wedding engagements.
“The philosophy behind ShutterRegistry is simple – to do what we can to help brides creatively and affordably have the wedding of their dreams,” said Neal Zipser, who owns and operates the ShutterBooth business in the Raleigh-Durham, Triad, Sandhills, Outer Banks and Wilmington areas.
“We often hear at bridal shows from brides-to-be that they are being more cost conscientious than ever, and they are watching every dollar spent,” he added. “And we hear their agony when they tell us that they can’t afford everything they really want for their wedding. So we thought, if brides can register for gifts for their post-wedding life, why can’t we offer a service that allows them to register for part of their wedding too? This will also help reduce the significant costs and debt the brides and their families can potentially rack up.”
ShutterRegistry is easy to use for the brides and their guests. A bride simply creates an account, chooses the package and options that she would like from ShutterBooth and shares the link with her guests. Guests then go on-line and donate as much as they would like toward the ShutterBooth service. The bride receives a running tally on the donations and gifts on the registry are closed once the service is completely paid for.
According to Zipser, ShutterBooth has been trying to introduce new services and technologies for the event industry since opening in North Carolina three years ago. Some of the unique services include:
- An on-line gallery called ShutterYou.com, where photos from events are posted and guests can relive the event experience by linking photos to Facebook, making enlargements, etc.
- A video option that allows guests to take photos in the booth or record a video message
- Branding of the photo booth, that allows the event host a unique advertising vehicle
- Capturing the event’s photo booth experience in high definition video or streaming it live on the web for family and friends who may be unable to attend the event
