Just recently I learned the difference between a lay flat album and a flush mount album and I wanted to share that with you. This way when you visit your photographer you know what they are talking about.
First, the Lay Flat album. These pages are printed to look like photographic paper and have no seam, but rather a crease between the pages. The pages are beautifully printed with a linen texture that I just love. The other great features of this album is the option to have a cover photo. The cover options are your basic leathers and include the couple’s names imprinted on the spine or front.
Second, the Flush Mount album. These pages are smooth and include a fabric seam down the middle between the pages. The cover is basic leather and includes the couple’s names imprinted on the front.
The biggest difference in my opinion is the way that they lay when you open them. Here are two photos that I found in Google images that tell a great story!
The difference isn’t huge but it does make a difference when showing family and friends your beautiful images!
